Tip 1) Try to keep less programs installed in Windows

Tip 2) Only install programs that you have to use and take out older programs which you don't use.

Tip 4) Scan Disk the computer system from time to time using the Microsoft Scan Disk tool found on you Start / Programs menu.

Tip 5) Defrag the computer system from time to time using the Microsoft Defrag tools found on you Start / Programs menu.

Tip 6) Keep less programs running in the memory at all times such as when the computer system starts up. Run "msconfig" from the Start / Run option and Click on the "startup" tab. Turn off the programs you do not need. (This will increase you computer speed)

Tip 7) Archive older files such as Photos and Videos on external drives and Keep the C Drive free as much as possible.

Tip 8) Run regular Spy-Ware adds cleaner such as "Ad-aware" free to download from www.download.com and clean up the computer.

Tip 9) Empty you temporary internet files regally.

Tip 10) Delete and remove the files on your computer which you do not need any more. These are simple things which you can do to keep the computer running smoothly from time to time.
